We are currently looking for a highly skilled Quality Engineer to take on the role of the main problem solver, focusing on making both proactive and reactive improvements in processes based on data from various sources. The goal here is to back a strategic shift from just containing products to having better control over processes, ensuring top-notch outcomes in all our operations.

We are looking for someone who can handle pressure well, shows integrity, and can communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the role of the main contact for customer-related quality issues and inquiries.
  • Prepare 8D reports, which include is-is not tables, Ishikawa diagrams, and 5-why analyses, with a focus on reducing their frequency.
  • Lead meetings for the daily material review board.
  • Analyze internal data related to products that do not meet specifications, customer returns on production lines, and non-conformance during audits, promoting improvements based on data.
  • Utilize statistical tools like process capability, measurement systems analysis, and statistical process control to identify risks and areas that can be improved continuously.
  • Assist the NPI function by finalizing PFMEAs, control plans, and PPAP documents.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated track record as a Quality Engineer in the Manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of IATF 16949 is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with PFMEAs, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8Ds, and Control Plans.
Location - Burnley

Salary – £40k (based on experience)

Benefits – 31 days of holidays (including Bank Holidays), 4% pension contribution, Health cash plan, mileage reimbursement for any business-related travel.

Full-time position – 39 hours per week, working from 07:45 am to 17:00 pm (Mon-Thurs) and 07:45 am to 13:00 pm (Fri).
