Tennyson Road is a CQC registered small group home for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions.

_ About the role _


As a Support Worker, you will help people with mental health problems or learning disabilities in their home or out in the community.

This might include motivating someone to eat healthily or visit the gym, or providing support to a person with emotional problems.

You will work together with the team and in partnership with other agencies to provide an excellent service.

You will be passionate about ensuring the service we deliver is person centred in supporting our customers to develop their confidence, skills, and independence in their homes and in the local community.


Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Personal care
  • Maintaining their homes
  • Budgeting and shopping
  • Planning and preparing meals
  • Accessing activities in the community (study, volunteering, social/leisure activities)
  • Maintaining relationships with family and friends
  • Accompanying customers to appointments and/or on excursions
  • Food preparation and cooking
  • Laundry and housework
  • Support with medication

You will be required to provide evidence of right to work at interview stage. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be covered by Advance.
