Digital Content Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing Marketing team.

We are looking for those of you who wish to grow with us as a business in our Bromsgrove office with hybrid working opportunities.

You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary plus a range of benefits.


As the Digital Content Specialist, you'll be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering the digital content across various channels such as video, articles, infographics, banners and website copy.

You will support the business's objectives by creating engaging content that increases brand awareness and builds client engagement. You will also attract potential prospects, whether new clients, advisers, employees, or adviser business acquisitions.


You will also help to provide our 200+ independent financial advisers with an array of content sources for them to share with their audiences.


The role will require close collaboration with our in-house videographer and graphic designer, as well as other internal and external stakeholders, to maintain the content roadmap across channels, and further develop the longer-term content strategy.


Key Responsibilities as our Digital Content Specialist will include:

  • Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, as well as other members of the marketing team, you'll plan, own, and deliver the ongoing content roadmap.
  • Develop new and engaging content ideas to manage a threemonth rolling roadmap for, social media, website, and news articles.
  • Brief/originate content assets across platforms and channels as required, ensuring content is relevant and compelling within the context of our target audience.
  • Ensuring engagement is at the forefront, whether it's more technical financial market articles, or lighter, catchall content designed to appeal to the wider market and families.
  • Acting as a brand champion and advocate to the wider business, promoting the brand tone of voice to ensure that all content is consistent, as well as ensuring the brand guidelines are adhered to.
  • Create content with the aim of educating and enriching the lives of our clients but also prospects.
  • Nurture internal stakeholder relationships, to harness the wealth of knowledge and expertise around the business, to articulate this to our target audience in a clear and simple manner.
  • Integrating SEO keyword research and best practices into online content.
  • Keeping up to date with the current financial services and investments content, including content published by competitors.
  • Keeping abreast of emerging best practice in digital content creation, using insights to constantly improve development and execution.
  • Managing the CMS and keeping articles/blog posts updated.
  • Work closely with campaign colleagues to ensure content is effectively leveraged for campaign activity as and when appropriate.
  • Ensure all content is fully compliant (e.g., copyright and data protection, financial services promotion) working with the internal Risk team.

What we are looking for in our ideal Digital Content Specialist:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, the equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also acceptable.
  • Demonstrable digital content specialist experience, ideally in a financial services or regulated industry.
  • Excellent written communication and grammatical skills with the ability to take briefs and bring innovative ideas.
  • Basic to good knowledge, or ability to learn, use of web content management systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivery through internal stakeholders and 3rd parties/agencies for timely and efficient delivery of campaigns and content activities
  • Solid understanding and appreciation of marketing and its principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Versatile and creative thinker able to switch between writing styles.
  • Embraces change and comfortable working in a fluid environment.
  • Ability to work in an open plan office.
