As role holder, you will provide clear leadership and strategic oversight of the College's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion activities to establish us as a sector leader for inclusive practice and culture.

Accountable for overseeing the
implementation of people-related strategies and initiatives, you will ensure effective and consistent delivery in alignment with the College's and wider University's strategic objectives, informed by the Inclusive Aston and Aston 2030 Strategies.


Operationally, you will chair relevant meetings and committees, lead the delivery of actions arising from staff surveys, and develop and lead cultural change programmes and employee engagement events.

You will also be instrumental in ensuring staff performance and development processes are well embedded, including leading the annual academic promotions cycle for the College.


You will understand University culture well and have a comprehensive understanding of EDI-related matters and the opportunities and challenges facing the Higher Education sector.

An excellent communicator, you will have a track record of providing strong senior leadership and will be adept at formulating, implementing, and communicating strategies, structures, and processes.

You will also have significant experience in influencing culture change and facilitating continuous improvement.
