Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Procurement Manager is a pivotal role in the invoX function, serving as a strategic business partner. The roles contribution goes beyond cost savings, extending to building relationships internally with key stakeholders and externally with key suppliers ensuring the delivery of high-quality goods and services. This role significantly influences both the company's bottom line through savings and top-line growth by creating value for invoX.
  • Strategic Procurement - Lead the development, management, and implementation of comprehensive strategies in alignment with key stakeholder and business objectives to deliver benefits that significantly impact invoX financial results, whilst meeting all business requirements including supply, quality, regulatory, service.
  • Supplier Relationship Management – Develop and implement SRM processes to build strategic relationships with key suppliers to maximise the value of the relationship and drive optimal performance.
  • Contract Development and Management - Negotiate, create and execute global contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for invoX. Ensure regional partner considerations are taken into account in global supplier negotiations and contracts. Support implementation of catalogues to drive benefits on tail spend. Support development of contract templates.
  • Risk Management - Protect invoX revenue streams by managing supply security through robust risk management and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Cost Optimisation – Conducting contract reviews, updating budget plans, implementation of cost reduction initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify continuous improvement opportunities both internally and at suppliers. Drive CI programmes at suppliers to reduce cost, improve Quality and reduce risk. Implement CI programmes internally to improve procurement processes.
  • Procurement Processes – Development and roll out of procurement policies and processes to improve the service provided to the business.
  • Collaboration – Work collaboratively with the wider procurement and business teams to leverage collective expertise and share best practice.


Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseThe Senior Procurement Manager requires expertise in global procurement, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and management. Successful execution involves collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams to optimise the supply base to ensure reliable and high quality supply, and service excellence while maintaining cost-effectiveness aligned with the business model. The role requires excellent skills in cross-functional collaboration, leadership, risk management, technological proficiency, and a dedicated commitment to continuous improvement in in the internal and external environment.

Essential
  • Procurement experience within a research and development environment.
  • Experience of international procurement.
  • Experience in the Pharma industry
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing cost effective procurement strategies.
  • Ability to operate independently, influencing senior management.
Desirable
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally within related subject.
  • Further procurement qualifications (Masters Degree, CIP's etc)
  • Knowledge of clinical trials process's, procedures and protocols.
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment.
  • Strong Excel skills; presentation, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated & result driven but also flexible and rapid adaption to change.
