  • We employ over 25 General Practitioners, with key areas of clinical excellence and a compassionate manner in order to provide the highest quality of holistic care for all patients.
  • We work in partnership with a significant multidisciplinary team including Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Paramedics (for preassessment screening and home visits).
  • We have a dedicated administrative team who support the provision of a highly effective patient recall system for chronic disease management.
  • We have a designated Workflow team responsible for the receipt, circulation and management of all clinical correspondence, liaising between all disciplines of staff to provide support to our clinicians.
  • We enjoy the support of a full Business, HR and IT support function, led by a centralised senior leadership team with a wealth of expertise.

We are looking to recruit a Stock and Equipment Controller to join our Network.

You will be required to communicate and interact with colleagues at all levels across the organisation using both written and oral skills.

You must be able to work autonomously.

This is a part time role, working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00am - 14:00pm. We can be flexible on start/finish times.

Salary is £25,000 FTE.

Interview will be held between 5th June - 15th Jun3 2023.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all stock levels are appropriate, rotated, store areas are kept tidy and common use items are centralised.
  • Responsible for the management and coordination of all stock for the Network.
  • Checking clinical rooms and ensuring all clinical equipment stocked to a minimum level.
  • Checking fridges for vaccines stocked to a minimum temperatures/most costeffective vaccines and ordering of all fridge items.
  • Check all health care consumables temperature covers, earpieces and other consumable to a minimum check list.
  • Check resus bag against check list to ensure stocked.
  • Check drugs cupboards and ensure all date checked and ordered in to a minimum stock level.
  • Check all medical consumables are stocked and ordered to a minimum stock level.
  • Check with wholesalers for best prices etc.

Essential criteria

  • Proven experience of procurement development or key skills training
  • Proven experience of working in an administration, supply chain or inventory control support capacity

Desirable criteria

  • Attainment of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) certificate level or equivalent experience
  • NVQ 2/3 qualifications or equivalent training
  • Professional or transferable experience
  • Evidence of additional procurement development or key skills training
  • Experience of working in an operational purchasing and supplies function
  • Experience of working within the NHS
