We now have an exciting opportunity to join us on a permanent basis, as a Trainee Account Handler for our Financial Lines International team.

The team is part of Howden's Specialty business, and the position is based from our HQ in the City of London.


Within the Trainee Account Handler position you will support the Team to deliver an excellent and comprehensive service, to clients, in the administration of new business, renewal and mid-term changes so that their needs are best satisfied through suitable cover and pricing.

Comprehensive training will be provided, and you will be given the opportunity to learn core elements of the Account Handler position alongside our Financial Lines International Account Executives, some of which include:

  • Monitor renewal spreadsheets
  • Quote slip and MRC slip production
  • Know Your Client and Sanctions checks
  • Bind MRC slips on PPL
  • Processing of premiums

Key areas of focus- Monitor renewal lists.- Prepare quote slips in advance of the renewal date.- Work with Account Executives to assess requirements for forthcoming renewals.- Run client due diligence checks where required.- Support Divisional Director with responsibility for Client Service output.- Assist Divisional Director with Credit Control and Doubtful Brokerage monitoring.


You- Some experience of working within an office environment would be helpful.- Applicants should be motivated to work in Insurance with knowledge and an appreciation of what the role entails.- This is an entry level role and full training will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • A levels (desirable).
