If you are an energetic mental health professional, motivated to try new ways of working, whilst developing your own skills within a multidisciplinary team, this could be the role for you.

Our team encompasses all that is important to KMPT through provision of timely rapid response assessments and home treatment interventions to individuals requiring urgent mental health support.

You would be able to develop your intervention and assessment skills through the support of our long-established team members, alongside supervision and training opportunities.


This is a permanent post based within a team covering the West Kent locality, including Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks.


We welcome applicants with experience working with people with a wide range of mental health conditions, who are competent and confident working with individuals across the local community.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with the MDT/Patients/Carers to improve patient experiences and outcomes.

  • Undertaking assessments of patients' mental health needs, identifying the appropriate level of support required.
  • Management of any risks potentially impacting the patient and others.
  • Assessing capacity to consent to treatment, whilst working within appropriate legal frameworks.
  • Clinical care must be delivered using a patientcentred approach, ensuring patients are involved in their care.


You should be able to work shifts including nights, bank holidays and weekends, and be able to undertake physical interventions training in order to support other teams with KMPT.

  • Working with service users referred to the West Kent Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Service.
  • You will be working across two functions
  • Rapid Response and Home Treatment teams, providing assessments and interventions until the crisis is resolved.
  • To contribute to the planning and implementation of induction, training and education of students and staff.
  • You will receive protected time to ensure your training is up to date and multiple opportunities for CPD.
  • To fulfil the role of mentor/practice educator, maintaining own update training and ensuring responsibility for regular placement provision and ensuring supervision and written assessment of students whilst on placement.
  • To assist the Band 7 senior practitioner by identifying personal and professional training needs in order to appropriately plan for future training and development.
  • To provide effective supervision, support, and guidance for support /STR/ peer workers and any work delegated to them.
