Quantity Surveyor Opportunity for Power Projects in Scotland

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor interested in working on significant projects in the power industry? We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of multi-million-pound power frameworks for a major energy company.

Projects are located across Scotland, including Peterhead, Beauly, Dounreay, Crossaig, and Glasgow. Initially, you will be based at the head office near Glasgow, with potential site visits when required, so flexibility in traveling is essential for this role.

In return, you will have the chance to work on Scotland's prominent civil engineering projects and enhance your career by learning from experienced professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial aspects of projects in the power sector to ensure cost control.
  • Collaborate with project teams for accurate cost forecasts, financial reports, and procurement strategies.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis for identifying savings and efficiencies.
  • Administer contracts and maintain effective subcontractor relationships.
  • Offer expertise in contractual matters, resolving disputes, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or power sectors.
  • Good grasp of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) is advantageous.
