Job Summary

Join our team to support day-to-day security and audit compliance operations for the IT Security Services group, with a focus on technology matters.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Implement and monitor network security mechanisms based on established policies.
  • Offer consulting support on secure connectivity, network services, and protocols.
  • Consult on security controls, processes, and policies.
  • Ensure secure implementation of IT infrastructure.
  • Support the Computer Incident Response Team as needed.
  • Assist with reviews, audits, and investigations.
  • Support site security reviews on request.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrate expertise in data analysis techniques by resolving complex research/data issues.
  • Work independently with occasional guidance on complex problems.
  • May provide guidance to junior staff.

Work Environment

  • Work indoors in a comfortable setting with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
  • Sit in a comfortable position with opportunities for movement.
  • Travel overnight less than 5% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in a related field with 2-5 years of experience OR MS/MA with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Certification may be required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications

1-2 years in Information Security operations or incident response, or 3 years in a non-security-focused IT role.
