Job overview:

Membership Officer
We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing Membership Officer who will support the delivery of our membership strategy. This role requires someone with excellent interpersonal, engagement and organisational skills. You will support with providing a comprehensive engagement and involvement service to members.

This is an exciting role for someone how is enthusiastic about enhancing the role of mental health in our communities and the wider NHS.


Main duties of the job:

  • You will work closely with the Corporate Governance Manager to provide a comprehensive administrative, engagement and involvement service to members of the Trust.
  • Responsibility for supporting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of our membership strategy
  • Leading membership recruitment campaigns for the NHS Foundation Trust function.
  • Holding events, meetings, campaigns and plan and capture activities by the provision of comprehensive project planning.
  • Support governors' publicfacing activities and coordinate engagement events across both
  • Supporting the organisation of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Annual Members Meeting and Annual Plan members events
  • To be the first point of contact for members, governors and the general public, and respond to their queries and requests for information providing an excellent level of service, converting prospects to members and ensuring current members needs are met.
  • Maintain membership database and develop other office systems, in order to meet Trust and NHSI information requirements and manage the contract with the Membership database supplier
  • Work closely with the Trust's communications team to ensure coordinated
  • Assist the Corporate Governance Manager with governance matters relating to the membership
