Job Introduction:


The Security specialist role is part of the Security operations team; the team will continually monitor the organisation for Cyber security attacks, report on Cyber security effectiveness through operational metrics, and implement and operate our security services.


The Security specialist role within the team will predominantly work to implement new security services, continually improve our existing security services and develop consumable Security patterns driving the adoption of consistent security controls and standards "Security by design".


Main Responsibility:

  • Design and implement our cybersecurity services that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
  • Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security services infrastructure software and hardware.
  • Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Input into the Planning, development, implementing and update company's information security strategy.
  • Enhance internal collaboration and communication through knowledge sharing on Cyber Security best practices.
  • Develop and maintain consumable Security design patterns
  • Works to agreed individual and team objectives with full responsibility for quality of work performed.
  • Strong communication, process, logical thinking and organization skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively alongside others to deliver team goals.
  • Comprehensive handson experience in technical development and delivery, using industry recognised security tools and methodologies.
  • Experience of Microsoft and Windows and associated technologies.
  • Knowledge of networking and network infrastructure
  • Experience with the design, implementation, and operating of Security services for example SIEM, Endpoint protection, EDR, Vulnerability management platforms.
  • Cyber related degree or relevant experience
  • Proven experience in a Cyber security roles
  • Proven experience in a Cyber Security engineering role
  • Cyber Security professional certifications advantageous for example, CISSP, CREST, ISACA, GIAC.
