As a Recovery Nurse/Practitioner, you will be responsible for the total nursing care of individual patients within the recovery area and ensure recovery criteria is adhered to before discharging patients. You will be a valued and fundamental part of the team and you will be expected to promote the highest levels of quality healthcare.

The candidate is expected to:

Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care utilizing evidence-based practice Assess, plan, deliver and implement excellent perioperative patient care by demonstrating safe, clinical decision-making and expert care. Prepare equipment and instruments according to Surgeon's preference cards and organising provision of sets and instruments. Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Co-coordinator immediately. Liaise with Sterile Services for cleaning and processing instrument sets. Prepare and support patients for procedures under Local/Regional/General Anesthetics. Be passionate in delivering exceptional standards of care for ophthalmology patients. Be dynamic, innovative and confident. Be a good mentor and role model for staff and work as part of the multidisciplinary team by sharing knowledge and information, supporting colleagues, promoting cohesive team work and working together to achieve clinical objectives.
