RPS is currently looking for an Associate Director at the Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager level with solid experience in handling challenging projects to join our expanding team based in Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors
  • Mentor and coach junior team members
  • Manage client relationships within the sector
  • Undertake cost planning for commercial purposes
  • Prepare tender documents and project reports
  • Handle pre and post-contract duties on a range of public and commercial projects
  • Conduct site visits for interim valuations and final accounts assessment
  • Act as employer's agent or provide contract administration services

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with JCT Contract
  • Ability to apply construction contract principles
  • Keenness to learn and enhance professional skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Solid Health and Safety awareness
  • Pragmatic approach to adapt planned activities accordingly
