We need a Remote Field Engineer to ensure smooth computer operations and help end users with their daily tasks. You'll be responsible for resolving escalated help requests within set timelines, providing guidance to Level 1 Technicians, and occasionally offering hands-on assistance at customer sites.

  • Act as an escalation point for challenging issues
  • Offer technical training to junior staff
  • Record and document incident-solving process
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level
  • Troubleshoot services like internet connectivity and backups
  • Install and maintain antivirus software
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on devices
  • Create help sheets and FAQ lists

Requirements:

  • Computer-related degree or equivalent experience
  • IT certification like A+ or MCP
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and Microsoft OS
  • Experience with Active Directory and Office 365
  • Application support experience
  • Knowledge of firewalls, routers, and network devices
  • Experience in an ITIL-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to present technical ideas in a user-friendly manner
  • Primarily remote work with occasional travel
  • Physical ability to handle computer components
