Behaviour Support Assistant (B14 area)

Location:

Duration:
Full time, on going

Salary:
£80-95 per day

The school/role:

Therefore, experience working with these needs is imperative. Any additional qualifications such as
PECS, Team Teach would be ideal but not necessary.


This is a full-time on-going position with the hope that this teaching assistant stays on in the school in a permanent position.


What you need to do now:
A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teaching assistant OR relevant SEN background.
  • Experience supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Experience working 1:1 with children who have social and emotional difficulties.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour in a classroom setting. Qualifications such as Team Teach would be ideal but not necessary.
  • Supervise pupils with SEMH ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.
  • Be positive, flexible, and patient.
  • Adopt a calm and understanding approach to SEN education and support.
  • Recent schoolbased references


Valid Photo ID
  • Driving Licence or passport.
  • Full DBS on the update service
  • Educated to Alevel or above or holding a relevant TA/SEND qualification.
