Pastoral Lead - Secondary School - South Birmingham

Are you an experienced Pastoral Lead of Head of Year looking for a new challenge? Have you previously worked with challenging behaviours and reluctant learners? This busy secondary school in South Birmingham is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Pastoral Leadwho is able to help students reengage with education.

As a Pastoral Lead you will be joining an outstanding SEND and Pastoral Team that has been recognised for its positive impact across the school.

Although a challenging role, as a Pastoral Lead you have the opportunity to make a long lasting positive impacton the lives of the young people that you support.

Your primary focuses will be attendance, behaviour and wellbeing of students. Previous Pastoral Lead, Head of Year or LSA experience is desirable. To be considered for this Pastoral Lead role you must haveexperience working with young people and challenging behaviours.

Job Role:

  • Providing behavioural support across Key Stage 3 or Key Stage
  • Delivering 121 intervention sessions focused on improving behaviours and personal development
  • Effectively communicating with parents, carers and outside agencies
  • Working with a small team of experienced Pastoral Leads to provide outstanding support
  • Attending safeguarding meetings with the DSL and safeguarding team
  • Ensuring that students are supported effectively across Key Stage 3 or 4
