About the Senior Lawyer role:

Sellick Partnership is looking for a Senior Lawyer to join a top Local Authority in Merseyside, specifically in their Safeguarding and Education team with a focus on Education Law. This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join a busy yet welcoming in-house Safeguarding team.

Key requirements of the role include:

In this role, you will need to have extensive experience in handling various Education Law matters. This includes managing complex cases and providing advice on areas such as:

  • Special Educational Needs tribunal/appeals
  • Advising and supporting schools
  • School admissions

Key attributes of the Senior Lawyer include:

The ideal candidate should be proactive and self-motivated with strong technical skills in Education Law matters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to deliver clear advice and interact effectively with various stakeholders. Adaptability to change and contributing innovative ideas for team efficiency are also important qualities.
