We are preparing to launch our first ever major fundraising and volunteering campaign to mark our 200th anniversary in 2024.

To make that happen, we are building an exceptional team of people to champion bold thinking that is rooted in impact.


Our donors make incredible things happen at the University, and we are looking for a talented Donor Relations Officer to show them the powerful impact their gifts are having, while helping to deepen their relationship with the University.


As a Donor Relations Officer, you'll be central to providing an exciting, informative and rewarding experience for thousands of donors to The University of Manchester.

Manchester's donor community is one of the largest in the sector - so there's huge potential for you to develop and implement bold new ideas.


You'll have the chance to flex your creative muscles, by delivering strategic and integrated communications to update donors and inspire them to help even more.

As part of a small team of stewardship experts, you'll take ownership of a varied range of projects - from one-off pieces of content to multi-channel campaigns.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a whole range of incredible people, including talented students and world-leading University researchers.


We are looking for a confident communicator, with the ability to devise and produce content for donors at all levels.

You'll need excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and an understanding of what makes a great story.


The work you do will be critical to the University as we enter our campaign, and the impact will be felt for years to come.

You'll join a friendly, collaborative and high-performing team; full of people who care deeply about what they do.
