Sustainability Coordinator

Location: Mitcham, Surrey, CR4 4TU

Salary: Competitive, DOE

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The Centura Group provides specialized construction services to the UK and international markets, supporting various businesses with Management, SHEQ, Finance, HR, and Training.

We're looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to join our SHEQ team and oversee sustainability procedures, carbon management, and the transition to PAS2080.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's sustainability policy and carbon reduction efforts
  • Measure and reduce carbon footprint across different emissions scopes
  • Research community needs on projects, develop carbon reduction plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, manage carbon data, and report progress
  • Implement strategies for carbon reduction in line with PAS2080
  • Ensure data collection, liaise with various teams, and analyze carbon footprint sources
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, set carbon reduction targets, and promote recycling
  • Provide advice on carbon reduction, social value, and sustainability sector
  • Maintain sustainability budget and develop PAS2080 procedures
  • Identify opportunities for recognition, ensure quality standards, and follow safety procedures
  • Contribute to health & safety goals, promote a safe workplace, and fulfill additional duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Degree in environment or sustainability field, progressing towards IEMA membership
  • Experience in carbon measurement, management, and reporting
  • Knowledge of biodiversity, social value, and sustainability principles
  • UK Driver's Licence, proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of relevant policies and carbon management standards
  • Organizational, reporting, and project management skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
