About the Company:
The company operates as a Principal Contractor in the Water, Industrial, MOD, and Power sectors. They specialize in New Build, Refurbishment, Civil Engineering, and MEICA projects, prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote safe working practices within the commercial function.
- Perform pre-award activities, including commercial reviews of tender documents and proposals.
- Manage post-award administrative tasks, such as contract setup and invoicing.
- Interface with clients regularly and support commercial compliance.
- Lead contract negotiations and resolve commercial issues.
- Provide mentorship and development to junior team members.
- Contribute to project delivery, risk mitigation, and value creation through best procurement practices.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
- Degree qualified in a relevant Cost/Commercial subject.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in IT, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Experience with NEC3/4 contracts management.
