Job Role - School Caretaker

Location - Lewisham, South East London

Salary - A daily rate of £100 - £120

anzuk are searching for a School Caretaker based in South East London to join our team.


Applications are particularly welcomed from aspiring and experienced individuals with a skill set which may include; site maintenance and building services with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting and decorating skills - these are desired but are not essential.


About the School:

  • The coeducational school is based in South East London, Lewisham and has great transport links
  • It is a Primary School with the age ranges of 311 year olds

Responsibilities for a School Caretaker:

  • You will be working Monday
  • Friday between the hours of 7:30am 3:30pm
  • Ensure the school premises are clean, safe and secure at all times
  • Carry out daily cleaning duties
  • Undertake minor maintenance and repair work
  • Liaise with external contractors when necessary
  • Manage stock levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist with setting up and clearing away of school events and functions
  • Be available for occasional weekend and evening work as required

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check will be required
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to undertake minor maintenance and repair work
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
