Job Title: School Caretaker

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Monmouthshire to assist with the appointment of a School Caretaker on a 4-month contract, with the possibility of extension at the client's discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To receive and inspect all goods and supplies (excluding contractor goods) and distribute them as necessary.
  • To report any defects affecting health and safety to the Headteacher and, when possible, make safe and isolate hazards.
  • To manage the putting out and taking in of batteries for the farm electric fence.
  • To check electric batteries for correct functioning.

Requirements:

  • Basic clerical/administrative experience.
  • Experience in building security duties, including alarm setting.
  • Familiarity with the basic principles of alarming and securing premises.
  • Understanding of site management principles.

Important Notes:

  • Candidates should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires a basic DBS check.
