Job Purpose

To support the Cash and Payments Manager in delivering a high quality service to the business, through supporting on a number of key processes, and management of the expenses process as well as liaising with key external government bodies and internal stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash
  • Preparing bank payments and transfers to suppliers, subcontractors, employees and intercompany, for the ISG UK and European companies
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts on Nav14 to bank statements for the ISG UK and European companies
  • Support the Cash and Payments Manager with all compliance related activities including audit and tax payments, managing monthly and quarterly VAT and HMRC (CIS Inland Revenue) payments


Credit Card Admin
  • Download and distribute the monthly statements to the credit card holders
  • Prepare the daily summary sheet and send it to the Treasury department at the end of the day
  • Responsible for UK, International and Credit card inbox in order to deal with the payment requests and respond on queries
  • Posting of standard journals, into the cash book and purchase ledgers once payments have been made or received
  • Weekly Bank Reconciliation's and monthly review with Cash and Payments Manager and Head of Record to Report
  • First point of contact with the banking queries for example payment traces etc general queries
  • Support the Cash and Payments Manager with other monthly activities
  • Other Duties
  • Support other Finance teams with developments and adhoc work as required
  • Support the Cash and Payments Manager and Head of Record to Report with adhoc work and team admin duties

Qualifications:

  • Early careers applicants or those looking for a first move into finance particularly welcomed
  • May to have a desire to study for a professional accounting qualification
  • Some finance or accounting studies would be advantageous
Skills & Experiences

  • Early careers applicants welcomed, with internships or a few years experience working in an accounting role advantageous but not essential.
  • Some experience in raising bank payments and completing bank reconciliations would be advantageous.
  • A structured and organised approach to work, selfmotivated, with the ability to manage own workload meeting deadlines and ensuring successful completion of tasks
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
