Machine Shop Inspector (CMM)
Gloucester, UK
£33,483 to £37,839 + Shift Premium

What will I be doing?


As a Machine Shop Inspector, you will undertake inspection activities for parts, which will include: First Off, CMM Inspection, and Final View Inspection of internal parts.

You will inspect and deliver quality products to both internal and external customers, with a full understanding of AS9102 FAI requirement's.

ASMEY and ISO(Apply online only) standards.

Job Requirements
What do you need from me?

  • Ideally you will have a Modern Advanced Apprenticeship - Level 3; however we will also consider applications form those with a level 2 or 3 equivalent qualifications or significant experience
  • If you do not have a level 3 qualification, we will support you to complete an NVQ Level 3 once you start
  • You must have previous experience of operating in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to implement and follow inspection processes.
  • The ability to understand quality issues and determine suitable outcomes via reasonable analysis.
  • CMM Inspection experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Qualified or experienced Inspector, training will be given to suitable applicants.
  • Capable of expediently and successfully inspecting and delivering quality products to both internal and external customers.
  • Capable of demonstrating Understanding and evaluating output data from CMM machines.
  • Camio Studio, Modus, and Virtual Dmis softwares (experience both programming and operation would be advantageous)
  • Dmis language programming (would be desirable).
  • Full understanding of AS9102 FAI requirement's. ASMEY and ISO(Apply online only) standards
  • Proven experience of the manufacture of Aircraft Landing Gear original equipment and associated products.
  • The ability to implement and follow inspection processes.
  • The ability to understand quality issues and determine suitable outcomes via reasonable analysis.
  • Capable of managing interactions with other work teams.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Task / achievement focussed.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Completion of any work related tasks, which would be deemed reasonable of this role.

Shift information

Shift work will be required on a 4-shift, 4 week rotation.

This will include :

  • Dayshift
  • Nightshift - Premium payment - 38.5% of salary
  • Bridging shift - Premium payment % of salary
  • Weekend shift - Premium payment % of salary
