Magna Groups are a provider of Breakfast, Afterschool and Holiday clubs in various locations around South and West London and Hampshire.
Magna's Ofsted registered Camps and Extended Schools provides children and young people the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of specially designed activities that will truly inspire, captivate and keep them wanting to come back for more.
Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Play Workers to join our team.
As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, play, and grow.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children, leading fun activity sessions, that will
INSPIRE, CAPTIVATE and ENGAGE.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and interact with children during fun, sporty or creative activities.
- Plan and organize ageappropriate games, crafts, and educational activities
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child.
- Assist with mealtime routines, including serving snacks and cleaning up afterwards
- Maintain a clean and organized play area
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents and school staff to create a positive and inclusive environment
Skills:
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to drive engagement and participation in activities
- Leadership qualities to effectively manage a group of children
- Proficient in English language
Education:
- Paediatric First Aid. (Desirable, although training will be provided)
- Safeguarding knowledge. (Essential)
Experience:
- UK based Childcare: 1 years (Desirable)
Licence/Certification:
- Enhanced DBS
- Paediatric First Aid Certification
- Safeguarding knowledge
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Pay:
£11.50-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 26.25 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
