About the role
You will be responsible for advising and providing your legal expertise to the Management Team and all departments.

The role can be based from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices, but flexibility will be required with travel to all locations.


What You Will Do:

  • Leading a team of 6 across 3 different offices in the UK and Ireland
  • Active member of management team and interaction with other department heads such as development, construction and finance
  • Legal support and oversight to onshore wind, solar PV hydrogen and battery storage projects across the UK and Ireland;
  • Supporting the projects in all aspects of their development and delivery, including due diligence, acquisition, land, construction, route to market, regulatory, financing, corporate and commercial matters and sale;
  • Identifying the need for legal input and support across the UK and Ireland business and allocating legal resource accordingly
  • Risk identification and management;
  • Managing legal budgets;
  • Procuring and managing external legal counsel

What You Bring:

  • You will be a qualified solicitor in Scotland or England & Wales and have experience in real estate, corporate, corporate finance, banking, regulatory, construction or projects practice areas;
  • Proven ability to lead teams;
  • Previous experience of working on renewable energy projects essential;
  • Commercially aware;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Shows a keen understanding of the company's needs and seeks to tailor advice appropriately;
  • Takes responsibility for leading on legal aspects of transactions and delivery of projects;
  • Selfmotivated and driven;
  • Naturally well prepared and organised, able to deal with competing priorities to meet deadlines.
