What you'll be doing

  • The Income Management Assistant role will involve supporting the Income Management Team for Current, Former and all tenancy related Income Collection.
  • Complete a variety of tasks including Universal Credit rent verifications, Housing Benefit input, arrears escalation letters, preparing legal documents, credits and refunds, tenant reference requests, managing the Income Team mailbox and CRM tasks, processing customer payments, customer interactions face to face/telephone and any other duties required to support the Income Management Team.

Please note this is a temporary role to cover maternity leave until 17/11/2023, however we are a growing company and may have vacancies available at the end of the assignment.

What you'll need to be a success

  • Housing Management Qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience of working in a customer focussed environment, building positive relationships to provide high levels of customer care. (Essential)
  • Experience of working in Social Housing. (Desirable)
  • Housing and estate management including income collection and tenancy sustainment (Desirable)
  • Ability to work successfully within team and partnership settings both with internal Calico colleagues and external stakeholders. (Desirable)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Desirable)
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, problem solving and written skills. (Essential)
  • Highly developed organisational, decisionmaking and workload management with the ability to prioritise. (Essential)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team without supervision. (Essential)
  • Calico's requirement within safeguarding legislation and good practice. (Desirable)
  • Housing Legislation and legal processes with relevance to social housing. (Desirable)
  • Welfare benefits and legislation knowledge. (Desirable)
  • Perception of rent account and numerical skills. (Desirable)
