The Team

The Data Services team within the Data Engineering department at Creditsafe Group is responsible for managing over 42 APIs that provide access to company and person data from various sources. We collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to meet business objectives, utilizing modern tools and methodologies while continuously seeking to enhance our services and explore the implementation of AWS-based services.

Job Profile

In this role, you will work in a Scrum team alongside Developers and QA engineers. Your responsibilities will include developing and unit testing REST-based APIs, maintaining existing APIs, and creating new APIs for partner data integrations. Additionally, you will assist in supporting various applications that facilitate data access.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Solution design and development: Contribute to solution design and implementation using strong API development skills in C# .NET and other languages.
  • Scrum team participation: Engage in all aspects of team operations for maintaining efficiency and productivity.
  • DevOps Practices: Utilize Azure DevOps for continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Collaborate to progress systems using AWS services like Lambda and ECS.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to tools and applications to improve Creditsafe's offerings.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards for software quality and continuously improve system design.
  • Problem solving: Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, implementing long-term solutions.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Understand and translate stakeholder needs into system requirements.
  • Knowledge sharing: Mentor team members and share expertise to foster continuous learning.

These responsibilities are not exhaustive, and you may be assigned additional tasks by your direct line manager.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in software engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in commercial software development, particularly in API development.
  • Proficiency in C# .NET, XML, JSON, XSLT, and source control software like GIT.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and AWS services.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with software containers.
  • Worked in distributed development teams.
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL.
