Job Description

Finance Manager

We are in search of an expert and devoted Finance Manager to join our Finance Team. The selected candidate will be in charge of ensuring proper management of accounting records and management information for the Diocese.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Directing and managing the Finance Team members
  • Developing a dynamic finance team with ongoing review of accounting processes and procedures
  • Providing advice on current and future financial strategy and policy
  • Researching, modeling, developing, and implementing budget plans that contribute effectively to the overall strategy
  • Communicating financial information effectively to key stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with all financial reporting requirements
  • Supporting local parishes to optimize their financial resources
  • Analyzing and improving the performance of investment assets
  • Enhancing income levels through the Common Fund scheme

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management:

  • Collaborating with the Director of Finance & Operations to produce budgets and financial plans
  • Preparing projections and forecasts of revenue and capital
  • Monitoring income and expenditure against budget and forecasts
  • Developing monthly cashflow forecasts
  • Coordinating the calculation of Common Fund income and contributions
