Cafe Supervisor

Based in Lincoln.

The Cafe Supervisor role is accountable for the performance and operation of Food & Beverage. The Cafe Supervisor requires excellent organisational skills including prioritising important deadlines whilst managing reactive business needs.

The role is fast paced and varied so it's important that the Cafe Supervisor is hardworking, driven, and willing to work to the needs of the business.

The Cafe Supervisor requires the ability to understand and influence financial data, have strong people management skills together with the highest standards in customer service and presentation.

The Cafe Supervisor will be expected to support other sites when they are faced with operational challenges so travel outside of their site area may be required.

Over a period of time, we would expect the Cafe Supervisor to develop and take on more sites within the group, lead, manage and support the food and beverage departments within these parks and work closely with the Café Manager, General Managers, Area Managers, Head of Operations and directors.


Previous food and beverage management experience is essential (minimum of 1 years) with the ability to show and demonstrate cost controls.

A culinary degree is preferred but not essential.

You must posses' great leadership skills and have current up to date knowledge of fast paced, on trend F&B outlets.

People

Provide day to day strategic Leadership within the F&B department

Ensure that workloads and tasks are appropriately delegated and effectively monitored.


Lead or support in recruitment, induction and training of new staff members ensuring all documentation is captured and stored in line with company procedure and policy.

Encourage effective communication and team work and instil a motivating and empowering working environment for staff.

Closely observe reports to maximise their potential and to support F&B department in achieving their KPIs and targets.


Work together with the Café Manager, Area Manager, Head of Operations, Head of Marketing together with Directors to ensure the collaborative development of the business.

Ensure that customers are satisfied with the food offering and service.

Assist the marketing teams with promotions and events

Hire and train staff within the F&B department

Financial


Possess and demonstrate strong commercial awareness and business acumen in commercial KPIs and profit and loss accounts and have the ability to make problem solving OR maximising opportunity decisions with the required urgency.

Continually observe the market for new/niche ideas that can help the business grow

Design and continually look to improve the Menu's within site/s


Control stock and place accurate orders ensuring a full range of stock of food and beverage are available to customers.

Understand all controllable costs in F&B connection to the site and influence effectively to maximise profit.

Follow and always adhere to food and safety regulations

Effectively order and cost control to business needs to hit site/s KPI's

  • Work collaboratively (within time) with other sites to introduce processes and procedures to maximise opportunities within the whole of the F&B range.
Safety


Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures, and all associated statutory requirements throughout all areas of the F&B Department.

Provide a safe environment for staff, customers, members of the public and contractors throughout F&B area's.

Ensure all operational documentation is stored in line with company policy and procedure.

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the F&B department.

Operational and service

Monitor, control and order Stock whilst maintaining cost controls within food and beverage.


Work closely with direct reports to ensure they deliver effective and accurate communication to the Café Manager, Area Manager, Head of Operations, Head of Marketing together with Directors.

Ensure all hourly, bi hourly, weekly and monthly procedures are conducted by food and beverage staff.


Ensure highest level of service is delivered to customers, promoting repeat business and an environment and capture reviews across all social media platforms.


Monitor reviews across all platforms ensuring any complaints are managed correctly and record all reviews accurately using the review tracker.

Ensure any general complaints are dealt with swiftly with the overall aim to recover experience and encourage repeat business. For technical complaints ensure they are escalated to the correct function within the business.

Salary:
Up to £10.67 per hour
