Role:

nThe Product Engineer is a key member of the Optalysys' Innovation lab, supporting prototypes, proof of concepts and the innovation environments on a technical level.

The product engineer will iteratively develop proof of concepts directly with customers & support the continued development of the innovation lab to accommodate the widespread interest & adoption of FHE.


Responsibilities:

nAssist in development of use cases and proofs-of-conceptsnGather technical requirements for engineering teams across the business including hardware and cryptography through proofs-of-concept and internal testing.nWork closely with other engineering teams by providing insight into technical and market requirementsnCommunicate function and purpose of technology to internal and external stakeholders (through external-facing documents, customer meetings, and/or events)nAssist marketing/business development teams with strategy and customer profilingnWork closely with the cryptography team to document the development of our hardware API and provide feedback on external stakeholder requirementsnProvide technical support to lab members during onboarding, PoCs as both a lab expert but also FHE expert.nResponsible for building internally or market driven prototypes, models & simulations to advance Optalysys' products and market position.nResponsible for creating & showcasing public facing demos to support industry use cases.


Key Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:

nA degree in Physics, Mathematics, computer science or electrical engineeringnGraduate or 1+ years experience in a software development rolenCapacity to work with novel code-basesnAbility to apply mathematical and data analysis techniques in managing and calculating over encrypted datanExperience in contemporary cloud systems (specifically AWS)nWorking knowledge of agile / prototyping methodologies.

nEngineering modelling of workflows, datasets and conceptsnAbility to write concise, thorough documentationnAn ability to advise senior stakeholdersnAble to apply a progressive technical approach to any problemnComfortable working independently and managing own timenYou will have good people skills and the ability to objection handle where requirednAbility to work individually as well as part of a team with an adaptable and flexible approach to worknAbility to communicate at all levels both written and verballynYou will have an organised and proactive approach to work
