So as an Apprentice at A&P Group, what will you do?
Youll gain real-world skills as you work alongside experts in their field.

With our apprenticeships youll earn while you learn and receive job-specific training, experience and recognised qualifications that will kickstart your career.

Youll be training to apprenticeship standards and regulations
Youll have regular check-ins and updates with our managers, and our skilled tradespeople to review your progress , gaining constructive feedback to help with your development and overcome any challenges you face
We currently have the following apprenticeships available;
Electrical Fitter
All apprenticeships are four years with the exception of Health and Safety, which is two years.
Qualifications, Minimum of 4 GCSEs including English and Maths (Grade 4-9). Science is also required for the electrical fitter and plumber roles (Grade 4-9)
This role may involve working outdoors, working at heights and in confined spaces throughout the facility based on the banks of the River Tyne
Future ProspectsOn completion of your apprenticeship, you will be time served in your trade and will be offered a permanent position with A&P
Once qualified there is the possibility of a number of career paths through further development and training opportunities. Ours is a challenging and rewarding sector, we are committed to supporting career progression
Annual wage, Company Pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Health Shield, Death in Service benefit
Working week Monday - Thursday hrs and Friday, hrs.

Due to the nature of what we do for some of the customers that we work with, some roles working for A&P are subject to security control restrictions.

You must also undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check before your employment starts, which will include a basic DBS check.
