Hydro/gym Support Assistant

Working hours:
Mon-Fri hours from 10 am - 3 pm

Hydro/Gym support


As a Hydro/Gym assistant/support, care work experience or working in the community would be essential also a keen interest in fitness would be required for this role.


You would need to be prepared to train within Diamond for a NVQ level 2 gym instructor, along with the mandatory training for support work.

(Unless already qualified)

  • To organise the list of clients attending with trainer and support assistant. To promote a positive and professional relationships with clients, also reporting any issues or concerns to the Gym/Hydro manager.
  • Previous support work within the core community would be essential to the role within the Hydro pool, as assistance would be required with changing clients within the Hydro pool and Gym changing areas.
  • To follow the lead from the trainer and support trainer with all duties in the Hydro pool/Gym.
  • To assist in duties involved in running of the Hydro pool and Gym such as water testing, Cleaning the of Hydro and Gym areas.
  • To ensure the Hydro pool and Gym are free from Hazards and to adhere to the current Health and Safety procedures.
