Date Published: - 29Feb2024 A newbuild warranty provider are currently seeking a Building Inspector in the vicinity of Hertford and Bishop's Stortford. Traditional housing, apartments and mixeduse developments up to 5 storeys will feature, including basements/ podiums/ complex elements. The role will require Class 2 competency in order to conduct building control and structural warranty site inspections. Basic salary circa £45,000 plus bonus, travel allowance, highly competitive pension, with the opportunity for career progression. The coverage area is defined by and including Letchworth, Potters Bar, Ingatestone and Saffron Walden. Building Inspector responsibilities:
- Undertake inspection of works and produce reports
- Ensure all relevant inspections have been performed with appropriate certification submitted, and defects/nonconformities addressed ahead of final certification
- Carrying out duties in accordance with QMS procedures
- Delivery of consistent service and building effective client relationships
- Contribute to external client meetings
- Building Control Inspector requirements:
- Associate / Full membership of RICS/ CABE/ CIOB preferred
- Existing Building Control / Warranty site inspection experience in line with Class 2 Registered Builder status
