Role


We are looking for an enthusiastic & conscientious full time HGV Class 1 Day TRAMPERS for our Manchester based operation.

Additional hours/shifts will be available if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Optimum Transport in a professional manner at all times
  • General haulage deliveries
  • Adhering to all Tachograph, Driver and Road Regulations
  • Ensuring vehicle is cleaned appropriately, and maintained in line with Company policy
  • Completion of all legal and customer relevant paperwork
  • Observe Company procedures and policies at all times
  • Ensure the correct equipment and PPE, (personal protective equipment) is in good order and used at all times
  • Ensure all delivery and on road issues are reported to the traffic office immediately
  • Undertake all daily checks, ensuring defects are immediately reported and correct paperwork completed

Essential Criteria

  • A valid clean HGV Class 1 licence (minor points considered)
  • A digital tachograph card and full CPC
  • Tramping experience
  • Minimum 1 years' experience driving Class
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Excellent customer service
