We are seeking an experienced strategic leader to assist us in shaping and executing ambitious plans to establish the East of England RRDN. As part of the NIHR Research Delivery Network alongside 11 other Regional Delivery Networks and a Network Coordinating Centre, you will play a vital role in this initiative.
The brand-new NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN) is set to function as a cohesive entity nationwide, merging regional nuance, expertise, and leadership with a centralized strategy that involves government policymakers. Given the RRDN's shift from the Clinical Research Network, your expertise in times of transition and adaptation will be invaluable.
We are looking for a skilled leader to drive service transformation, manage organizational change, and provide unwavering support to stakeholders and partners as we collectively navigate these transformations to realize our strategic objectives.
An essential aspect of this role will be working within a networked environment, necessitating the ability to comprehend and engage with various complex agendas while forging robust partnerships throughout the system.
The RRDN demands strong influencing and negotiation skills, aiming to cultivate enduring partnerships that will open up diverse research opportunities across communities to address evolving healthcare challenges effectively.
Reporting to the Network Director, you will deliver prominent, dynamic, and effective senior leadership. Collaborating closely with the RRDN Operations Director and the Health and Care Directors, you will form a cohesive leadership team.
Hosted by Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals NHS Trust, the network spans the East of England region, requiring travel to various regional sites, national meetings, and beyond the region.

Role Responsibilities:
- Devise and lead a 3-year RRDN Strategic Implementation Plan aligning with RDN strategic objectives and the national 3-year plan, in collaboration with regional partners
- Collaborate with regional partners to align individual research strategies, merging national and regional priorities to ensure coordination and synergy through system leadership in the region
- Contribute to the oversight and development of RRDN business, financial, strategic development, and impact plans, along with associated reports
- Enhance the potential for high-quality and sustainable health and care research regionally and nationally in alignment with RDN's vision and strategic aims
