About the role and our team
Join our team as a Control Room Supervisor within the Department of Infrastructure, Highway Services Division at Ellerslie Depot
A typical day in this role will involve the efficient operation of Ellerslie Depot Control Room/Reception area, working in conjunction with the Site Works Managers and Engineers to maintain communications between them and the workforce.
You will also liaise with Fleet Shared Services to ensure plant & equipment availability to support the teams and monitor and maintain the control room systems and supervise control room staff to ensure the smooth running of highway services.
This will include ensuring there is adequate manning of the control room for normal day to day duties and support the management team out of hours.
Our team at Ellerslie have a wealth of knowledge and experience working within a diverse environment.By joining our team you'll have the opportunity not only to supervise the control room, but also get involved in dealing with the logistics and planning for weather related events and working alongside other agencies in preparation for the TT, Southern 100, Festival of Motorcycling and other special events.
As part of your role you will be expected to work a limited amount of overtime to both cover the control room operating hours and to assist in the coordination of the Departments response to a diverse range of scenario's.
This includes providing resources and support to deal with flooding, storms, snow and ice, as well as answering general enquires from members of the public.
