Job description:

If you are an experienced Children's Care Assistant looking to expand your skills and knowledge into complex clinical care or if you already have complex care experience, this could be the perfect job role for you

Meet our service user


Our service user is a cheerful toddler who lives at home with his loving family in Barnsley, he requires support with his complex care needs throughout the night on a 1:1 basis.


He is a happy and relaxed little boy who loves the interaction and attention from his family and care team, as well as receiving lots of cuddles.

He enjoys all forms of sensory play, listening to music, and has now started expressing his emotions such as giggling and smiling with his family and care team.


Throughout the night he will need closely monitoring as well as assisting with all his personal care, repositioning and attending to his clinical care needs when required.

You will provide a safe and peaceful environment to promote a restful night's sleep.

Our ideal applicant will preferably have experience of supporting children with complex care needs.

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

Essential Experience Required

  • 3 months previous care experience
  • Personal care
  • Moving and Handling
  • Medication Administration

Desired Experience

  • Complex Care experience (preferably with children)
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation Management
  • PEG Feeding

We have the following shifts available

  • Part Time Nights
  • 25 hours
  • 2 shifts per week
  • 8:00pm8:30am

We are looking for staff who can assist with ad hoc days when needed

Weeknights:
£13.00 per hour (Approx. £162.50 per 12.5-hour shift)

Weekends:
£13.50 per hour (Approx. £168.75 per 12.5-hour shift)

Bank Holidays:
£15.50 per hour (Approx. £193.75 per 12.5-hour shift)
