Can you cook good, nutritional meals with a twist of home comfort?

We are looking for a full time cook to join us here at Melbourne House.

Hours: 3 days per week. Shifts are 7.30am to 2.30pm with every other weekend off.

Pay Rates:
£11.00ph


We have a fantastic team of Carers and a group of exceptional residents looking for someone who can provide wholesome, traditional meals to all.

As one of our highly valued cooks you will:

  • Assist in the preparation and provision of the meals provided.
  • Be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.
  • Prepare and cook meals and snacks following preset menus in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations to ensure meals are nutritious, appetising and meet dietary needs.
  • Undertake simple stock control, reporting goods to be ordered to the relevant senior staff member to ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment and surrounding areas is maintained to a high level.
  • Attend training courses as required.
