We are working with a leading AAA console game whose studio culture is rooted in an open, friendly and collaborative environment. They are now looking for a talented Lead Gameplay Programmer to join their team and work on their latest projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with gameplay coders establishing code guidelines, performance budgets and quality goals
  • Be responsible for setting the clear technical direction and intent within your team
  • Write high quality, maintainable and scalable code when needed
  • Assess the overall performance of your team, providing mentorship and guidance
  • Be involved in the planning of long-term road maps and improving overall development processes
  • Anticipate, identity and solve risks and blockers early on

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Gameplay Programmer role or similar
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field
  • Expert proficiency and knowledge of C++
  • Excellent time management and self-organisational skills
  • Able to analyse and debug unfamiliar code of a reasonable complexity
  • Great understanding of game-development related 3D mathematical principles
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Knowledge and experience driving in agile methodology within a team
