Department:
Water Services Contracts Salary (£): c.£, plus monthly car allowance Regional Service Delivery ManagerAr Yer Orrite Norfolk (and surrounding counties, we're flexible). We're Severn Trent Services a commercial arm of the Severn Trent Group.
You may be wondering why a midlands-based company are advertising in East Anglia. Well, Severn Trent Services is a commercial business, providing water and waste services to companies nationwide, including the MoD and The Coal Authority. We've been operating in this area for the past years, so we aren't exactly the new kid on the block.
Our purpose is taking care of life's essentials, but we're also big on making a difference to our people, customers and environment; not just because we should but because we care.
We are looking for a Regional Service Delivery Manager to join our Water Services Contracts leadership team to oversee Operations and Maintenance within our East Region covering the Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex Area , looking after our private water and wastewater assets and networks. That's a big area, so you will be glad to hear we offer a car allowance as part of the role and, a fantastic electric car salary sacrifice
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our customers and the communities where they live.
If you want to do more because you care, we'd love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here. If you don't have much operational experience, yet have phenomenal leadership and commercial experience, we'd still love to hear from you – what do you have to lose?
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As our Regional Service Delivery Manager (sometimes shortened to RSDM), you will work on our main contract with the MOD, working across Army and RAF bases to safely provide fantastic drinking water from source to tap, and ensure our wastewater is treated to the highest standards to protect our environment, from our customers properties to our sewage treatment works. That'll include ensuring effective operations of our assets so that we have minimal interruptions to supply and reducing our blockage and floodings.
Heading up a team of technicians (Adrian, Andrew, Chris, Andrew, Dan, Darrin, Marc, Rob and Tim) you'll be responsible for keeping our team engaged and safe, provide an awesome customer experience across the region and identify areas where we can grow our current offering. KPI's will be used to track performance, which you will own for a regional perspective.
A summary of key accountabilities of the role are:
Ensuring our people are safe and engaged, supporting those that wish to develop further.Work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, putting our customers at the heart of everything we do. Afterall, there are lots of companies out there doing what we do. It's how we do it that makes us different.
Have strong commercial awareness, managing an OPEX (C.£m) and CAPEX budget, identifying efficiencies that doesn't negatively impact our performance.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We want someone who is trustworthy, has strong leadership experience, and preferably with a commercial background too. Don't worry if you don't have an extensive background if water and wastewater operations, we can teach that.
A full driving license is required as this will be a home-based role with extensive travel across the Central Region of the STS MOD contracts. At times you may have to travel across the when supporting other regions and colleagues (we will pay for any necessary hotels and subsidence).
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.
And when it comes to inclusion, we're making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity, who help us do just that.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
Working here isn't just a job. You can build a career at Severn Trent Services, and we have plenty of examples, with most of our Water Services Contracts leadership team having been promoted from other roles. We'll reward you for it, too. With that in mind, here are just some of our favourite's perks that you'll get being part of the Seven Trent Services family:
