Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Nursery school in Walker.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) students in their learning and development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and ageappropriate lessons for EYFS students.
  • Assisting with the preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources.
  • Helping to create a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's development and wellbeing.
  • Supporting children with their daily routines, such as toileting, dressing and feeding, where necessary.
  • Providing onetoone or small group support to children who require additional assistance with their learning.
  • Recording and monitoring children's progress and achievements, and contributing to the assessment and reporting process.
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues, and communicating effectively with them.
  • Attending relevant training and professional development sessions to improve your knowledge and skills.
  • Undertaking other duties as required by the school.

The requirements for this role are:

  • GCSE English & Maths
  • Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
  • Possess strong organizational, communication and problemsolving skills
  • Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
