Job description


We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Officer to work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and Senior Programmes Manager (Partnerships) to support the Law School's quality assurance provision.


The Senior QA Officer is responsible for supporting quality assurance processes for all programmes within the Law School including all on-campus, online and executive education programmes.

The post-holder will lead on the administration of module and programme changes, student module evaluations, external examiner nomination processes and help support the periodic programme review and annual monitoring processes.

The postholder will also support the School Education Committee.


The Senior QA Officer will also support the international partnerships within the Law School to ensure that agreements are set up in accordance with the collaborative provision approval process.

The post-holder will also be responsible for the annual monitoring of the School's international partnerships. This includes scheduling Joint Monitoring Committees, reporting on student numbers, and supporting the School International and External Relations Committee.


We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior QA Officer with a track record of producing high-quality written work, analysing data and working within a regulatory framework, ideally within a professional or higher education environment.

The post-holder will have a passion for delivering excellent administrative support and be an active member of the Professional Services Education team within the Law School.

This is a permanent, full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.


King's has a hybrid working policy and the expectation is that the post-holder is on campus for a minimum of two days a week.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate the approval and modification process for modules or programmes.

This includes providing advice and guidance to professional services and academic colleagues on the related regulations, organising and servicing panel meetings, using the course management software and SharePoint to ensure information is accurate and up to date.

Lead the annual process of updating programme information for publication for the Faculty, in line with College requirements.

Interpret the outcomes of module and programme changes and determine how these changes may impact existing programme materials, liaising with programme teams to update where required.


Coordinate the module evaluation process in the Faculty, including closing the loop reporting and analysing and reporting data trends for School committees.


Support the examination and assessment agenda across the Faculty; to manage external examiner nominations and reports and provide support and guidance to staff.


Support the School Education Committee (SEC) and School International and External Relations Committee, organising meetings, drafting agendas, writing minutes and tracking actions.


Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in other quality processes, such as annual monitoring, periodic programme review, College approvals processes or other data reporting functions.

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of quality assurance procedures, programmes and partnerships, proactively identifying areas of improvement. Work independently toward annual, termly, or monthly deadlines.


Write and update policy and guidance documents in conjunction with Faculty office-holders and implement new policies and initiatives across the Faculty.

Represent the Faculty Education Team at relevant College meetings and share best practice with QA colleagues.


Manage specific projects for the School as required by the Quality Assurance Manager, Senior Programmes Manager (Partnerships) or Associate Director Education.
