Welding Inspector

Job Purpose:

Ensure that all finished welding and fabrication complies with the contract specifications and relevant quality standards.

The successful jobholder will be responsible for:

  • Visually inspecting all welds for compliance to standard
  • Carry out weld audits to determine the degree of compliance with the approved Weld Procedures.
  • Organisation and facilitation of NDT to appropriate qualified and authorised subcontractors
  • Daily liaison with Supervisors and project personnel.
  • Carry out surveillance activities in accordance with the Project Inspection & Test Plan.
  • Support the requirement for overtime or weekend working as necessary.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Appropriate professional qualifications (CSWIP or PCN Level III)
  • High level communication skills (written and oral) and computer literacy.
