Due to this continued growth Mitie Telecoms are looking for a Resource Controller to join the team.


The primary responsibility of the Resource Controller is to provide and maintain the resource strategy for the Field Engineering Department and to support the Resource Demand Manager in the planning, and management of Operational activitiesand processes in order to deliver on approved operational plans.

The post holder will look to continuously enhance service delivery, and working closely with the Resource Demand Manager, ensure that service capabilities are consistent and aligned to overall Service Management delivery.


_ What are the main role requirements?_


The Resource Controller will support in the management of the allocation of field resource, ensuring all Project and Health & Safety requirements are met.

This will be through managing and maintaining accurate Field Resource schedules.

Whilst also ensuring that all necessary training has taken place and any refresher training required is programmed in at the correct intervals to the work schedule.


You will also support the Resource Demand Manager with data to enable accurate reporting across the business on the functions activities.

Whilst also assisting the Field Engineering Team to develop initiatives to provide continual service improvement, process adherence and enhancement, leading to an all round effective operational service delivery.

Other responsibilities will include but are not exclusive to:

  • An awareness of the duties imposed on both Mitie Telecoms and its employees under Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation.
  • Assist to ensure, in the event of an accident the process of Incident Reporting and Investigation is followed.
  • Maintenance of the fleet spreadsheet, registering vehicles as required with the MIB database, Insurance Broker, Dart Charge and TFL
  • Liaison with field teams and problem resolutions where necessary
  • Any other duties as and when required by the business
You will have a proven ability and demonstrable experience in performing a Service Delivery role within an operational setting. Coupled with a track record of delivering services to defined service levels. This will be enhanced with a basic knowledge of Health & Safety.

You are someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build a rapport with others. Someone who can remain calm, effective and succeed in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
