The post holder will work in collaboration with the CYPS Leads to deliver safe, efficient, high quality and effective services by providing strong clinical leadership and ensuring alignment of team based priorities with the Directorate and Trust priorities and values.

Independently manage a specialised clinical caseload of children/young people and their families,

Provide clinical assessment, consultation, advice and the delivery of treatment programmes for children and young people with a diverse range of physical healthcare needs

Work within a variety of setting such as community, homes, schools, nurseries, hospital ward & designated Clinics. The service provides a blended offer of delivery including Face2Face and a digital offer (Attend Anywhere).

Contribute to ongoing service improvement initiatives

Adopt corporate, clinical governance and best practice principles within service delivery

Demonstrating a commitment that the voice and lived experience of the child and young person is at the heart of all CYPS decision making and clinical care planning.

Main duties of the job Provide a range of health care based assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people (0-18yrs) and their families/carers within the designated team.

o Providing a holistic clinical/health assessment, consultation, advice and the delivery of intervention programmes for children and young people with a diverse range of needs.

o Clinical care will take a trauma informed approach with knowledge and understanding of Adverse Child Experience (ACES) that may be impacting on presenting needs

o Undertaking comprehensive and accurate assessment/formulation of children and young people (including diagnostic where required), using investigative, analytical and effective clinical reasoning skills

o Demonstrate effective profession based core skills and competencies including effective clinical decision making and articulating rationale behind decision making.Contributing to team based referral screening/Front Door pathways

o Providing effective and safe clinical risk assessments & risk management planning as part of routine clinical work

o Undertaking accountability, responsibility and independent managing a clinical caseload of children/young people and their families.

o Champion opportunities to develop digitally enabled care throughout the clinical pathway

o Lead the implementation of robust and reportable clinical outcome measures to enhance clinical service delivery

Ensure clinical delivery is managed through robust processes and pathways, including reflecting key principles and deliverables within the Care Aims Framework/ THRIVE/Levels of Intervention or other models of delivery

Deputise for CYPS Band 7s when required.

Contribute to providing out of hours services if requested by CYPS Management

As delegated, ensure all complaints and incidents are investigated within agreed Trust policy, procedures and time scales and effect any necessary learning changes to practice and service that may result.

As delegated and as part service improvement, to complete tasks including audit, deep dive or other evaluative review.

Uphold team/service based Standard Operational Procedures/Operational Handbooks and contribute to annual review and development

Be accountable for maintaining and developing own profession based skills, knowledge & core competencies by specific standards and Code of Conduct.
