My client a fantastic local authoritybased in Leeds have an excellent opportunity for two Procurement officers - for one year interim roles, looking to pay around £28 per hour PAYE plus holiday. This is excellent opportunity for to gain and extendvaluable procurement experience, These roles are very flexible and looking to have one day a week in central Leeds sight and the rest remote working.
Role
Responsible for supporting highly efficient, solution-focussed, professional advisory in respect of complex high risk and high value procurements and procurement projects, ensuring compliance with procedures and current contractual arrangements.
The objectiveof the post is to ensure that procurement and contract management functions are administered in accordance with Council procedure rules and public procurement regulations and to support value for money, transparency and the achievement of service objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Manage or support procurements of moderate complexity, risk and value, and where appropriate support more complex / higher risk / value procurements, contributing to the delivery of the council's commercial procurement approach as a whole
- Support effective risk and issue management in specific procurements.
- Support the development of procurement options, procurement plans, specification, pricing models and innovative partnership arrangements
- Coordinate and manage the tender process contributing to the preparation of documentation, setting of evaluation criteria and methodology, supporting the evaluation process and coordinating input from legal, technical and financial specialisms up to contractaward
- Publish tender documentation and communicate with bidders on behalf of the Council
- Provide postprocurement advice and management, including the Contract Management Plan
- Assist in reducing costs and improving efficiency by identifying areas suitable for corporate contracts and eprocurement, and by developing other appropriate contractual arrangements.
- Maintain a record of the savings achieved through the introduction of more efficient and economic procurement arrangements.
- Contribute to the document preparation and authorisation process to ensure that properly drafted contracts are entered into, and implement standardised documentation as appropriate

Qualifications/Training:
- Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply
- Level 4, or equivalent relevant experience in procurementrelated roles.
