An overview of the role:


As a Cloud Operating Model Consultant at Capgemini Invent you will be part of our Cloud Advisory capability within the wider Business Technology capability unit.

Our cloud advisory capability aims to inspire, lead and support organisations on their journey of adopting cloud for creating business and revenue models, generating growth, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing their carbon footprint.

In your role, you will deliver business and IT operating models that will enable the adoption, acceleration, and innovation on the cloud for our clients

This will mean:

  • Designing and implementing cloud operating models that will deliver on innovation, agility, cost benefit and time to market promises.
  • Adopting a holistic approach across multiple dimensions to modernise the client's operating model. These dimensions will include process, governance, skills, culture, tooling & technology and organisation.
  • Integrate sector specific business operating models with cloud operating models
  • Leverage and maximising our clients' existing investments in ITSM tools and frameworks.
  • Developing the roadmap and transient states to move from onpremise based models to hybrid and multicloud models


You will be required to work and communicate with all levels of an organisation to collaboratively innovate, design and implement new business and operating models.

You'll bring an acute sense of market trends and the challenges facing our clients, to deliver lasting and sustainable organisation transformations.


Key expectations from this role include:

  • As a
    Consultant: lead a stream of work and produce high quality deliverables, providing key input to shape the strategic direction and support the design of propositions.
  • As a
    Senior Consultant: design and lead projects / multiple streams taking ownership for elements of the proposition.

  • Design and implementation of cloud operating models for public/private, hybrid and multicloud
  • Design, implementation, and management of cloud centres of excellence
  • Product oriented operating models and service architectures
  • Integrating business operating models with cloud operating models
  • Experience in lean process design and intelligent process automation (desirable)
  • Implementation of DevSecOps models along with necessary tooling, business change
