We have an exciting opportunity in Hywel Dda University Health Board with an MSK vacancy based in Carmarthenshire. This post offers rotational work across the county, providing a chance to experience different aspects of the MSK service.

The successful candidate will collaborate with MDT teams across the MSK pathway. Our physiotherapy service has strong clinical networks and integrated pathways that cover primary and secondary care, including specialist primary care MSK services and strong links with specialist secondary/ tertiary specialties. Our teams are known for being positive, forward-thinking, and dynamic.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with proven clinical skills in the field of MSK.

  • The post holder will work within a team of physiotherapists responsible for delivering patient rehabilitation services within their defined clinical speciality area.
  • Manage their own caseload, including self-referrals and referrals from other professionals.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and education of junior staff and students.
  • Support service modernisation and development, including involvement in audit and evaluation processes.
  • Participate in a flexible 7-day service on a rota basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Professional registration as recognized by HPCP.
  • Post-graduate evidence of specialist education.
  • Evidence of CPD.
  • IT skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-graduate experience in a relevant clinical specialty.
  • Completion of junior competency framework.
  • Practical experience to participate in the respiratory on-call rota.
  • Experience in managing diverse caseloads using a clinical reasoning process.
  • Experience in inter-professional and team working.
  • Direct involvement with carers and families.
  • Evidence of supporting service compliance with clinical governance requirements.
  • Experience in staff supervision.

Desired qualifications:

  • Evidence of student supervision.
  • Negotiation of MDT working practices.
  • Experience in service development.
  • Experience in NHS working.

Language Requirements:

  • Welsh speaker at Level 1 (Desirable).

Other Essential Skills:

  • Evidence of teaching/In-Service Training.
  • Flexible approach to meet service needs.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call and extended services.
  • Ability to travel between sites and in the community in a prompt manner.
